Veeam Software appoints first Philippine distributor

Veeam Software, the Swiss provider of virtualisation solutions has appointed its very first Philippine distributor, MSI-ECS. A press statement by the Baar, Switzerland-based vendor said MSI-ECS will now become a one-stop source providing existing and potential customers with its solutions for virtual infrastructure management and data protection, storage and security solutions.

MSI-ECS will also support local channel partners in training, marketing, product presentation, proof of concept and deployment.

The press statement noted that MSI-ECS is also a Philippine distributor for Microsoft and VMWare solutions, a fact that complements Veeam's backup and replication technologies.

It said its partnership with MSI-ECS will help Veeam to seize opportunities in the growing market for virtualisation in the Philippines.

In a related development, a separate press statement by the Swiss virtualisation vendor said Veeam experienced record revenue results for the whole of 2013.

In 2103, annual bookings revenues grew 58 percent over 2012, while new licence bookings revenues increased 53 percent over the same period, according to the press statement.

It added that total bookings revenues grew 55 percent in Q4 of 2013, compared to the same period in 2012.

On the other hand, new licence booking revenues increased 52 percent over that same period.

The press statement said the results mark Veeam's 24th consecutive quarter in which quarterly bookings had grown by more than 50 percent over the same period during the previous year.
