There is now a cloud solution for personal use at home, according to Western Digital, a storage solutions provider based in Irvine, California. A press statement by the US vendor said this is due to its recent release of My Cloud, a personal cloud solution.

My Cloud enables users to organise, centralise and secure the digital content from all their computers and mobile devices and access these files from anywhere in the world.

No Monthly Fees
Users do so without need of monthly fee payments while feeling secure about their cloud being in their own houses and under their exclusive controls. The press statement said the My Cloud desktop app makes navigating, controlling and sharing of these files to and from anywhere in the world simple and intuitive.

At the same time, My Cloud serves as a digital entertainment hub for the home, storing terabytes of movies and music that can be streamed to any DLNA-certified multimedia device. The press statement said My Cloud is available in 2TB, 3TB and 4TB storage capacities, and is currently on sale in Singapore at select outlets.
