Unified threat management specialist Fortinet has received the 2014 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Network Security Vendor of the Year award, which was presented to the company recently at a ceremony in Johor, Malaysia.
Frost & Sullivan research analyst, ICT practice, Vu Anh Tien said the award recognised Fortinet's market share leadership, product innovation and consistent efforts in meeting customer needs. It also recognised Fortinet's broad range of network security solutions and success in acquiring major customers throughout 2013.
This is the third time in 12 months that Fortinet has received Frost & Sullivan's prestigious Network Security Vendor of the Year award in the region. It was awarded for India in May 2013, and again for Asia Pacific in July 2013.
The award Fortinet received covers the Firewall/IPSec VPN, SSL VPN and IDS/IPS segments, said Vu. "Fortinet continued its strong growth momentum in the Malaysian network security market in 2013."
"The company offers extensive product portfolios that meet the different needs of varied customers from small and medium businesses [SMBs] to large enterprises across all verticals," he said. "Besides, its commitment to technological innovation and ability to cater to the rising demand for emerging advanced security solutions such as APT, DDoS, cloud and mobility also enabled Fortinet to expand its customer base and foothold in the marketplace."
